Privacy policy

Updated September 15, 2026

Mike Brown Video is Mike Brown’s private video library for invited friends and family. This policy covers the website and iPhone app.

Information the service uses

  • Your account: your account identifier, username, name when provided, email address, account status and video access permissions. Passwords are stored as protected hashes.
  • Sign-in and security: sign-in records, saved-session records, verification requests and account changes. These records help keep you signed in, limit misuse and protect your account.
  • Video requests: the service checks your account’s access when you browse or request a video. Hosting and streaming providers receive the connection information needed to deliver the video, such as your IP address and request details.

This information is used to operate the private library, authenticate your account, provide the videos you can access, send account emails and maintain the service. Account and sign-in records are linked to your account.

Saved sign-in

The iPhone app stores a sign-in credential in your iPhone’s protected Keychain so you can return without signing in each time. The app does not sync this credential through iCloud. Signing out clears it from the app and requests that the service end that device’s session. Account security changes can also end saved sessions.

The website uses cookies for sign-in and account verification. The app and website do not include advertising or use advertising identifiers to track you across other companies’ apps and websites.

Service providers

  • Cloudflare hosts the website, account database and media, delivers video streams, and provides Turnstile checks during sign-in. Cloudflare receives network and request information when you use these services. Read Cloudflare’s privacy policy, including its Turnstile addendum.
  • Resend delivers invitations, sign-in links and account emails. It receives the recipient email address, message content and delivery information. Read Resend’s privacy policy.
  • Apple provides iPhone app installation, TestFlight testing and the device’s sign-in and credential-storage services. Apple handles its own platform and testing information under Apple’s privacy policy.

Retention and deletion

Account information is kept while your account exists. Session and security records are kept to operate and protect the service; expired credentials are removed through periodic cleanup. Provider logs, delivery records and backups may remain under the providers’ retention settings and policies.

You can review your account, update your details, sign out of all devices or delete your Viewer account in Account settings. The iPhone app’s My account menu links there. Deleting your account removes its profile and sign-in credentials from the active service and ends your access. It does not remove Mike’s shared videos.

Questions and requests

Contact Mike using the contact method he used to invite you if you have a privacy question, need help accessing or correcting your information, or cannot use account deletion. Updates to this policy will appear on this page with a new date.
